Next Project..

Kitchen...and here's the before..gonna have to wait for the after . I'll be on vacation this weekend so updates will be in september. Have a good holiday!

WHAT A WEEKEND!

My dad suprised me and came thursday night, worked on the house all day friday without me knowing when I was at work, WHAT A GUY! THANK SOO MUCH!

Lots of updates. Jen's closet is done. It's got a special shoe area, 3 rods (1 for long dresses), and a few shelves. We finished the bedroom. Finished the trim in the living room and tore up the old plywood to reveal the wood underneath. Then we cleaned everything...It looks GREAT. Kate and Kyle came to visit and went home with a few presents too (boxes for the trash). Thanks!

Thanks Builder Bob! I inherited a table saw and mitre box this weekend....argh argh argh (Home Improvement Grunt) You can see the mitre box in this pic...


Also, I have to thank Nick and Box for the shelves, random remodling leftovers and the dehumidifier (working great!). Only problem is the shelves only have three legs....

But I ended up finding another leg...they are working good in the "hardware store"

Also..THANKS mom and dad for the awesome vanity for Jen.

Weekend work...

Builder Bob came and helped this weekend and we made some excellent progress...

We got the new hallway to the bedroom done and hung the french doors. We had to build a wall and panel and trim everything around the wall. We installed a new floor in the closet and I trimmed it, put up clothes rods and built some shelves... The french doors look awesome and really make the living room feel bigger. Jen worked on scrubbing the kitchen cabinets and removing the old tile, man were they nasty. I also added an update pic of the bath with the lights.

Finished closet, just need some paint/stain. Can't see but there are 6 shelves on the right.

Sorry all, it's been a LOOOONG time...

So basically...Bathroom is done. I just installed the lights, no pics of those but everything else is working. All the plumbing and electrical that I did works....Yeah for me.



Next, We had 1 issue with the house when we bought it. You could only see the lake from the bedroom and Porch. We removed the fireplace with the intention of a sweet built in entertainment center replacing it...My wonderful Fiancee JEN came up with a better idea. French doors into the bedroom creating a view of the lake from everywhere but the kitchen! PERFECT...see below, this weekend we'll finish the closets and the doors.
